This is where you enter vacancy profile criteria that the system uses to match you to available vacancies. You also use this page to determine if, how, and when the system should notify you about vacancies that match your profile.
Once you initially establish a profile, you can access this page via the Applicant Home Page (click Create/Update My Applicant Profile and notification preferences) to update and/or edit this information.

The Vacancy Profile section allows you to select criteria representative of Location and Travel, Experience and Education, and/or general Vacancy Preferences relevant to what you consider your ideal vacancy. You may also be able to enter your own Keywords if there is something specific you want to include and/or identify.
Click to select any item; if you would like to select more than one item in a given field, click the first item to select it and then press and hold down the CONTROL key while you click the mouse button and select additional items (Macintosh users should press and hold down the COMMAND key while clicking the mouse button).

Find it faster! Here's a shortcut to find what you want in fields that give you an alphabetical or numerical list of options; e.g., Locale. Once you click on a list option you can jump forward by typing any letter or number. For example, if you want to select Texas-Austin, click on any visible list option and then press the T key. This jumps you forward to the first list option beginning with T. What you want, Texas-Austin, is just a few lines down on the list. |
The more information you provide here, the more specific results the system can provide about available vacancies. However, you can provide as many or as few responses as you wish in order to narrow or widen how your profile matches to available vacancy descriptions.
There may be some items about which you have no personal preference. For instance, you may not care whether or not a vacancy requires travel. In these cases, either select the neutral option, if provided (e.g., No Selection, Match Any, None, etc.) or don't select any list item.
In this section, you provide information that controls how (or if) the system displays your personal information to prospective employers and how the system itself and prospective employers interact with you.
Select the check box if you wish to retain your anonymity within the system. If you elect to remain anonymous, no one but you can see your name or contact information. This includes prospective employers.

Important! If you remain anonymous, vacancy postings require you to actively apply for the vacancy(s). Once you apply for a vacancy, you grant that prospective employer permission to view your name and contact information, as well as any application you have in the system. |
If you have a preference about the text format of e-mail content you receive, select one of the following radio buttons:
Plain Text — This format typically offers the smallest transmission size. Be aware that plain text e-mail messages do not include any special character formatting the sender may use during composition.
HTML — This format is typical of Web-based e-mail accounts, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Netscape Mail, and others.
Select or clear the check boxes and, if applicable, radio buttons shown to control vacancy and general information you receive from the prospective employer.
I want future informational correspondence from you. From time to time, prospective employers distribute special mailings (e-mail or print) on general company news, event announcements, promotions, etc. To give this company permission to send you this type of data, select this option. You can elect not to receive this (clear the box), but some of the information employers send to prospective applicants is not available anywhere else.
Send me e-mail when a new vacancy posting matches My Applicant Profile.The system can notify you immediately when it receives a new vacancy that matches the vacancy profile criteria you specified. To receive these notifications, select the check box. If you do not want to receive this type of e-mail from the system, clear the check box.
You can also select how frequently you want to receive vacancy notifications.
Immediately — By default, the system sends you an e-mail message for each matching vacancy as soon as the new vacancy becomes available. If you would rather receive periodic digest messages, select one of the other options.
Daily — Select this radio button to receive daily digest messages about matching vacancies.
Weekly — Select this radio button to receive a digest message once each week about matching vacancies.
Once you finish making your selections, click OK (if you arrived here from the Applicant Home Page) or Next (if you arrived here from the Register page) to save your changes.
